I have two 86's which have the bad suspension system. Is there a swap that I could do or modifications that can make it handle much better, for front and rear (Shocks, a arms whole ball game). I can make a arms and modify rear swing arms, just let me know a good swap with some other quads shocks or something. Also any experiences with swaps or custom fitting on a lt250r would be awesome if you shared. Thanks

 

The short answer is sell the LT's, and use that money to buy a Honda 250R or a more modern 4 stroke. The real downfall to all years of quadracer is the wide frame at the a arm attachments. This gives them poor geometry throughout wheel travel. I have had good luck with Works shocks for these though. Works or whichever shock manufacturer you go with should be able to recommend arms that will work well.
