Maxxis Big Horns
#1
I have a 2013 King Quad 500, and I am wearing the stock tires down FAST. My quad is also my farm tractor, horse, snow plow and what ever else I have to do around the farm. I also do trail riding. I am in western Maryland, so we have snow mud rocks hard packed clay and loose forest floor. I have no idea what tires are going to be best for me. I am going to move up a tire size and get a set of rims when I upgrade. Anyone that can help me out would be great. I kinda like the Big Horns and Mud Lites. I am open to any tire as long as they do what I want them to do. Thanks for your help, I am new here and trying to learn my way around.

So, I haven't got much feedback on the bighorns, so what do you think about Pitbulls. I am open to any suggestions and comments on any tires. I want the most information and reviews on any tires. I want to get all and any info on any tires good or bad before I spend the money on new tires and wheels. Thanks for your time and interest

This thread is a little old, but if you are still looking, I have both Bighorns and Pitbulls. The Pitbull Rockers have the most traction of any tire I have ever run before, with the exception of out in Moab on the slick rock. They ride great, wear very well and are just a great tire. They are also extremely over priced. By far, the best all around, any terrain, dollar for dollar, best tire you can buy for your ATV is the Maxxis Bighorn. If you want a specialized, condition specific tire (as in mud tire), you can probably do better, but for what you described, they are perfect. Great for everything except deep, heavy mud. They are as good as any non-mud specific tire in mud, and outstanding in every other condition. You will also get 5000+ miles out of a set. The Bighorn is the most copied tire in the industry, and for good reason. It is also the OEM tire of choice on many of the side by side machines now. Again, there is a good reason for this.
