Default Need Advice - Planetary Diff

Hi folks,

I'm working on a small prototype vehicle, and I need to purchase a compact differential. Can anyone point me to some makes & models of ATV (or similar vehicle) that use a planetary differential with independent suspension?

I've found a few with a selectable/locking planetary diff, but would like to avoid the extra complication and cost if possible.

Thanks in advance,

Brad

May not be compact enough for you,but the 600/700/800 Sportsman models were reliable. Pinion gear shaft is splined for use with a prop shaft. POLARIS SPORTSMAN 400 500 600 700 REAR DIFFERENTIAL 2002-14 OEM 1341352 Low Hrs | eBay

Thanks for the help. That might just work, I may order one of these today to see... It is hard to get a sense of scale - do you know of anywhere I can look up some dimensions to get a sense of whether it will fit our application?

Not really on the overall dimensions. If you're considering purchasing a used one, have the owner measure it for you. I'm sure they'd be happy to in order to make a sale.
