What are the benefits of say running a 12 inch wheel versus a 10 or 11 inch wheel?

I have a Wolverine and i think there are more 23 inch tires avail for 11 inch rims then for 12 inch rims.

Also, if i swap in aluminum rims for the factory steel wheels will i notice any gains?

I'm very green on this sort of thing.

I am also thinking of going with 25's. I have the jetkit,k/n,fmf megamax II, so i think i can turn the 25's, but i dont have any probs with the 23's now.

larger rims prevent side wall roll. smaller rims are good for rocky areas where there is more space between the rim and the ground.
