What tyres would be best for a wet muddy track. The turf tamers just don't happen when a track is real wet.Thanks....oz_400ex

I'd try the Razrs or Holeshots, they aren't mud tires but will self clean better than the Tamers. I would spend my money on the Razrs.

One other choice oz_400ex. Depending on your definition of wet and muddy, if the mud is realy deep sand tires will work. The first time I raced MX it had rained the day before, the mud was about 1ft deep on the track! Every one was getting stuck in some of the corners. A guy slaped some sand tires on his 440ex and slung stuff everywhere. He didnt have any problems at all getting around. He did bend two 190 rims somehow though. Ive rode a 250x through stuff with sand tires that I dont think I could have went through on any sport quad with dirt tires. Anyway, if the track allows them and the mud is supper deep sand tires may be best.

A couple of additional thoughts:

If it isn't too muddy, you can try "grooving" your turf tamers. You can get a tire groover from Nac's or someone that should have the proper blade, or you can simply use brick cutters to remove some of the *****. This will open up the tread pattern and allow the tires to clean a littler better, but also wear faster on hardpack.

Also, the stock Honda 400ex radials have a very open tread pattern and work well in mud. A lot of guys run those at the muddy MX nationals. They are fairly light, have a lot of sidebite, and still corner relatively well since they are only a little bigger than true race tires.
