A-Arms question HELP
#1
I bought an 88 trx 250R with +2 +1 aarms and was told they were lonestar . I broke 1 of the lower ball joints on the right side and bent the lower on the left side during a race where i endo the quad . I called lonestar and ordered 2 replacements and the new ones are much larger in dia. on the end which goes into the a-arm . I believe they are not lonestar . How can i tell the brand name of the a arms to order new ball joints . I have looked and cannot find a name on them . They are chrome and work great until i hit a guy in the air . Is the a stamp maybe on the ends that mount to the frame ?

They only use 2 styles of ball joints for A Arms. One has the larger diameter witch is from a 79 ford courier pickup. The other is from a 85 VW bug, im not for sure on the year of the bug. You can get those ball joints at any auto store. One more thing,Make sure you get the right thread pattern, I believe it is the right side.

The tie rod ends thread in two directions, If you get the wrong side it will not thread in. LIke a propane bottle that tightens the opposit way. ALso i am not 100% sure on the year of the vw bug but the 79 courier is for sure.
