A local shop is going to be offering all tires at 50% off of retail. How is this possible and do the big retailers that can be found on the internet or in magazines ever do this?

I plan on getting Holeshot XCTs on all fours.

bash,

Make sure you do some good comparison shopping before. A local dealer to me offers an ASAP program for $$$ per year. This program gives a person first-in-line on repairs among other things, and 50% off tires and helmets. I passed on the offer. I found out later that the "retail" prices they had were about twice what the same tire could be found elsewhere with a little shopping, so the program was a rip-off as far as tires went.

Is it possible they are going out of business, or not going to carry tires anymore? May not be a problem, but something to think about.

It not a going closing sale, just a "welcome to spring" sale as they called it.

The 22x11x9 ITP Holeshot XCTs were a little higher at $79, but at 50% off, it still seems like a good deal. Maybe there is a catch that I'm unaware of?

I don't know if you have seen the Rocky Mountain ATV site, or not, but they have 20x9x11 Holeshot XC's for $57. Not exactly the same size you are looking for, but they have several different tire designs, for relatively cheaper prices.

www.rockymountainatv.com

Might be worth a look.

If you can get them for $40 each you better jump on it. That is less than distributor pricing. If it holds true, let me know because I smell a skunk.
