Best all around tire? Any Opinions?
#1
So what is the best all around tire? I posted a thread like this before but did not get the number of responses that i hoped. Consider these points ...
1) Durability ( Is this where the ply rating comes in? )
2) Weight ( Does 5 lbs per tire make a huge difference with stock size? )
3) Traction in various terrain ( Dirt trail, Snow, Loose earth, bog, sand, light mud )
4) handling at various speeds ( Improving on the stock tires )
Any advice that could be shared would be helpful, thank you in advance.

For the stuff I ride, ABSOLUTELY the ITP Holeshot ATR!! These will greatly improve the handling of your machine, and give it a more sporty ride. On the right rims (12X7 ITP Magnums are my preference) , the bike will be wider and more stable. But, keep in mind that I ride in the arid southwest. The tires have done well in the snow and mud, but we don't get the serious mud they have in some places.

I have spider tracs on my rancher, they do great in just about anything. The only problem area is very slimy mud, which I don't ride in that often. alot of it depends on what type of riding you are going to do. Certain tires are good for certain types of riders.

For all around riding I like the Jackals I have had a set on my 425 starting on the 3rd season and getting ready to get another set for it.Good in everything but only 4 ply.

Bearclaws or mudlites. Probably the two toughest tires for their prices both are 6 ply and have a smooth ride. Longlasting too. I had them on my Scrambler 5004x4 and used to do burnouts with them all the time and after 2 years they still looked great and had lots of tread left.
