Tire sizes, what does it all mean?
#2
All based on (20-12-10) first number (20) is the diameter of the tire. Second number (12) is the width of the tire. Last number (10) is the rim size diameter. Your tires are 25 inches tall by 10 inches wide on 12 inch rims.

Would there be any problems going to a 26" tire on stock rims? I have a 2003 suzuki vinson with stock tires and rims (25-8-12 and 25-10-12) I am looking at going to Bearclaws with the following sizes: 26-9-12 (front) and 26-12-12 (rear). Any info would be helpful.

hey zukaman, I just put those exact size tires on my Grizzly (26-9-12 front and 26-12-12 rear in ITP 589's)
and they fit fine. No lift kit required, no rubbing and alot more traction than stockers. You should be o.k. with those size tires. The most you might have to do is put wheel spacers if the tires rub anything but I don't think they will.

hmmm My Vamps ride very well and do excellent in Mud, Water just about anything BUT NOT SAND!!! I cant keep the ATV straight going through sand, the front slides and the backend powerslides!!! Stability i dont really know I dont live in a hilly area, mostly ditches is about the only thing hilly i have to mess around with so i kant give you a true answer to that one. Outlaws and Mudzillas could be a good choice for stability.
