So does anybody have any info on these dunes? Moses is about 2000 acres and it looks like from the map the Juniper dunes are over 4000 acres. Is the riding like Moses and Beverly or are there actual bowls? Any hassles from the locals, like driving on their private road to get to the dunes?

Here's all that I have. Go to the NMA website http://www.nmaoffroad.org/juniper.html, then click on the BLM web site. Go to recreation and then click on the map to enlarge. Look for the Juniper Forest in the lower right, click on that and you'll get a map of the ORV area. Also read the News Release on the NMA website.

I live about 15 min from there. It's a great place to ride no large hills but there are bigger ones than Moses Lake. Lots of trails and wide open play areas it's a good time. There is a private road to get there and it has been shut down before so please don't speed or toss garbage if you visit.

Any problem if I take the motorhome, like getting stuck? Thanks for the info DSracer!! A friend and I will be there the weekend after Memorial. I guess if it's closed we'll just head over to Moses.

DSracer - can you somewhat describe how the dunes are there? Is it like beverly sand or moses lake type sand. Whats your guess on how tall the biggest hill is there? thanks for your help

No problem getting a motorhome there it's a gravel road, I've never been to beverly but the sand is much nicer than Moses. The tallest dunes I'd say are 100' some of them are pretty steep but not really a challenge. Just someplace that's fun to ride at. Usually they're quite smooth and there are lots of great jumps.

On a normal weekend how many people are there? Mostly quads, dirtbikes or 4X4's?
