We had a simular problem you did. I was running a 12 paddle ultra light with kevlar on a 25in. wheel and a 79 rollout. The tires hooked hard but our 60' times were higher then we wanted.

I had the same problem on my honda, i was out of gear and out of tire so i just sat my skinny azz towards the back of the seat and it did a pretty decent job out there.

 

i was running the 8 paddle couldn't get the wife to give up the 10 paddle, but for my power and all i think a 10 paddle 23 would have helped me seems that sand was soft and not much to bite into, i know in the winter around here it is a lot stickier.

 

do they even let 3 wheelers do organized drag events anymore? for some reason im in doubt. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
