What are the best Dunes West of Colorado?
Coos Bay, Winchester Bay, florence. all on the Oregon coast. But if you go there. You better go in
the summer because it rains alot in the winter. And just the opposite in Glamis. It's way to hot
in the summer. But it's just right in the winter. Pismo Dunes are nice all year. But not as good
of a experience as Oregon or glamis.

North Rexburg exit - 10 miles north. Flashing red light. Another 4 miles north will put you at the Sand Hills Resort. Turn left at the light and 4 miles will put you near the Desert Oasis campground, and the New Egin Lakes access and Campground. A Ranger is stationed there full time and usually helps folks out if they want/need to get even closer to the really big dunes (600ft +).

Jerrydlish, check the link in my sig. I have all sorts of info on St. Anthony. Directions, pics, videos, GPS coordinates.... I'll have a lot more this weekend after I put the new pics and videos up. St. Anthony is awesome and the weahter is nice when it's too hot in Utah.

You are close to alot of great dunes, as you already know about little sahara utah, then st. anthony idaho, for something a bit different you can check out coral pink down around kanab utah. Then in the winter you have dumont near baker california, and of course glamis. I want to check out the oregon dunes soon, but not sure when, maybe next year.
My favorites are st. anthony and little sahara utah of the dunes I have been to.

You live in SLC and Saint Anthonys is 4 hrs away. I'm in your situation and I can go to both dune places. Idaho has big big dunes that Glamis can't even hold a candle to. We all know about the ultimate hill in Utah and both place have great bowls. SA is a bigger area then LS, Utah. Glamis was worth going to once, but I won't be going back. Not with what I have in Utah and Idaho.. Forget Dumont and Sand Mtn Nv unless you just want to say you've been there once.. Pics of Idaho in my sig also..
