Your probably right a 9 or 8 paddle may be better, but that 727 is going to have some torque, so as long as he's running FLAT drags and short runs 300-400ft. I would think he could get by with an extra paddle, for a little better 3rd gear acceleration.

i had 21x12x8 10 paddle haulers on my allky 686 rappy 14f 42r sprokets 2nd gear launch then i baught the same size only tripple buff 70in rollout it wouldnt even come out of the hole after that the tripples get alot bigger put on 12f 42r 6lb air 2nd gear launch worked the best for me 9lbs is recemended pres. for tripple buffs if i need to gear up i just put more air in

 

sorry forgot 5 psi keep close eye on air pressure as it will go down through the day even on new ones

 

i think 9 is too much for pismo. You'd be better off going with an 8 paddle. This will also allow you to run more gear for more top end.

 

well im problebly gunna go with 21x11x8 with 8 paddles. but i dun think my 727 has 72hp. im gunna get it dynod by a local place called cycle tune next week.
