In one of the "Crusty Demons of Dirt" videos, they ride in Namibia. I believe there is even a shot of Seth, or maybe someone else riding up it. I'm not 100% sure if its this dune, but they did make a special trip out to Namibia to ride in the sand. And I would think that if they were there, they might as well try it.

I haven't watched the video in a while. It might be Crusty 3 or 4. I have them all. I'll check them out tonight or this weekend.

Its "Crusty Demons of Dirt 2." I'm not sure if its this 1200 ft. dune, but they take on a pretty damn big hill. Definately the biggest one i've seen on video.
