i did a sprocket change in the front, down a tooth to a 12tooth sprocket an dhave tons of low end but if you want your top end then dont do it. i lost more top end then i thought. he might get you in the start but you should be able to kick his ***. are you guys about the same weight???if he is some 90lb kid then it may be tight at first but should kick his as#

Its fitting that I foudn this thread...
I sold my warrior....last fall, needed and upgrade
and now i am buying a bike tonight...
the choice is between these two
2001 honda 400ex
full skid plat
+2 dynablu axle
nerf bars
yoshimuru exhaust
k&N filter and jet kit
possible a high compression piston
$4,000
or a
2003 Yamaha Raptor (barely riden, nubs still on tires)
basically stock with nerf bars and possible a K&n
$4500
I am diggin the fact that the 400ex is hooked up but the raptor is brand spankin new practially
and its got reverse which will help for the type of riding i do, trails and all
what should i do..i am gonna test ride them both today at 4-ish Eastern time

Stock Raptor is much faster, but a little tippy. I personally like the way the 400ex sits, seems more stable. If you want to go fast, get the Raptor, if $ is a concern get the EX. You will have a lot of fun either way!

well..its basically a diff of $500..so money is not the problem..i'm am more concearned with peoples opinions of what they like and why? I am really leaning towards the raptor...alothough it is bulkier, i think i will be able to do more mods to it to get it where i like..and reverse is nice...
so i am proly gonna get the raptor
so i am proly gonna get the raptor
