ya. my friend ken and his wife debbie got hit by a stupid f#cker in a rail. unfortunatly they weren't wearing helmets. debbie got a helicopter ride to reno, with a gushing cut on her fourhead, a bleading liver and 6 fractured ribs.they both got stuck with a fat bill and a scrued up banshee.

It sounds like you did the right thing. Sorry about the collarbone though. In comparison, your injuries were probably 10 times less than what the kid would have suffered. Sounds as though a possible fatality could have occured on the child's part. Thanks for taking one on the chin for the rest of us.

I'm not a big fan of violence anymore, but the dad deserved a big time @ss whooping. Not necessarily in front of his child, but he needed one. The father chose not to address or recognize the situation in a responsible manner and will continue to handle things in the same manner as long as there are no repercussions. The child is not at fault, but missed out on a very valuable lesson that his father could have taught him about responsibility.

As a parent, I realize that I am responsible for my children. That is why they are training on the all-terrain Barbie Jeep in the back yard for now.

Kind of off subject.....but I am surprised more people do not get by killed by rails cresting over the top of dunes. Seems like a very dangerous situation. Rail owners a generally a little older and more responsible??
