St Anthony's. When is the best time of the year to ride?
#61
Do you need to reserve campsites at St. Anthony's? If so, how? Do the campgrounds there have websites? Anyone have phone numbers or web-links for me?
I'm still not sure which one I want to stay at. Sounds like the BLM site might be the best bet, being central to everything. Riding an hour each way just to get to the good dunes doesn't sound like too much fun...I'm up for suggestions.
By the way, who's going the weekend of June 19th, and where are you staying?

Myself and a bunch of people from North Dakota along with a huge group put together over a few different sites will start showing up on the 16th of June (my group) and staying throu the 22nd or 23rd. I am not sure where everyone is staying but my group is staying at the Best Western in Rexburg.

For those of you going to St. A's the weekend of June 12th, where will you be staying? We've never been there, and don't know anything about it. We will just be tenting it, so are there restrooms, running water and such? Also, do you need to make reservations?

There are only a couple rangers there and i know one of them browses this forum(talked to him when there last year, cool guy). There are no noise restrictions. Its a great place. We are going back just before memorial day weekend for a week, worth the 14 hour drive each way.

Very true - but i find when we are down there if you do an early morning ride - 8:00am and an evening ride 5-10pm that enough for me. Then you can still sit around the fire and have a few beers.

We just moved here about 7 months ago. We've only done a little riding, so you probably don't know us. Where do you go riding at? We've been to Emmett once, but usually go out to Pleasant Valley. We're also looking forward to some friends showing us Blacks Creek soon. Maybe we can hook up and do some riding this spring...?
