it was a CRF450 motor in a drag frame. How did it do verses the "fast bikes" can it compete with the big boys(banshee)?

 

slowbanshee00 is correct, it is a CRF motor in a drag frame. I didn't see it run, it spent most of the day in the back of the truck.

The few stock 450s where easy for me to to beat. But the modified ones, I was not even close! I am currious how much work they have done, if much at all! For all I know they could be all out race motors or just pipes and jetted.

 

The CRF450 was already fast in 400ex frame now lighter and streched out I think it will run good. I know he is still working on the suspension. I was just curious what other people saw this past Sat. I talked to the owner SAT night and he said he is pretty happy with it. He sounded like he thought it had more to go. I have never seen it run in the drag frame.

So do you guys think a pismo drag banshee can take it?

 

ok, now i get it!! i didnt know he had a crf motor in it, never had the chance to rap with him. the suspension did look soft thru the whoops, if thats what he is trying to dial in.
did the stock length EX riders also have crf motors stuffed in them too? i was curious how they were so fast.

 

I don't know who he was with but there is a yellow 400ex that an older guy rides and is pretty fast it's a 416 on meth. Maybe a few TRX450R's that are pretty fast too. I want to know how it did against the 2-strokes. Most 4 strokes can not run with him.

 

I saw one 400ex that was smoking, it was up there with the fast 450s. There were not that many fast banshees, your usual piped ones, but nothing that was worth mentioning. From what I saw, the 450s were king that weekend, in the drags that is!

Do you know what the FAST 450 are running? cams? high comp? big bore?

 

He won't even tell me.

 

i went down and raced on the beach front for a couple hours or so. Its about the only flat place left out there anymore.

 

what Pismo needs is a hurricane ....... a new home for the birdies and Arnwald to open up some more space. I miss the winter just to hot to ride @ Dumont.

 

da beech is it safe for a top end bike to race at pismo or is it just to short of a cutoff at the end, i have no reason to go there if it aint to race, but i may just go for the hell of it..to putt and kill myself when i pinned in 4th and the fence is a coming..
