Goin to the DUNES!
#2
Which dunes are you going to?
Once I get on the dunes I never want to stop. Get up in the morning, eat & ride, come in to eat luch and go ride, come in to eat dinner and go ride. Dunes at Florence close at 10:00PM, Coos at 12:00 midnight and Winchester 24/7
Drag race, hill climb race, trails, jumps, sand mound ripping, beach rides all day long. You'll love it!

Hey CrazyOne,
Where are you going to ride the dunes at????
Check out the Puget Sound Area Rider in the Where To Ride section on here.
Lots of local riders in Western Wa to chat with. It's a great group of folks to chat with and ride with. They are always willing to help anybody out. Somebody to ride with just about any time you want to go.
You ask a question like this and you'll get a bunch of info. Great group of people.
Chances are, some of them may be going to the dunes the same time as you. Would be a ton of fun.
The biggest thing at the dunes is to take it easy and ride around and scout out the area first.
That way you will find all the dangerous spots to watch out for. There are some pretty nasty drop offs that you will never see until you go off them, and end up in a world of hurt. Trust me, it will happen.
Also, don't go launching of any jumps or anything without a spotter, or at least making sure nobody else is coming.
Don't go bombing through anywater holes that you don't know how deep they are.
If you can't make it up a hill, make sure you have enough speed to turn around when you realize you won't make it. If you don't have enough speed to turn, bury the back end and then get off and turn it around.
Most of all>>>>> HAVE A BLAST. The dunes are a complete different way of riding. It is so fun, you will never want to leave. You'll make plans to go back before you even leave.
Good Luck
