There doesnt seem to be alot of interest in these drags. Which is surprising. I would think most would want to get out there and strut their stuff.

There at the West Michigan Sand dragway. Its about a mile or so from the dunes.

 

As with Silver Lake, are there sound checks at the strip?

I dont believe there are any regulations on spark or decibles. But you make a great point, and I will call to find out.

aug 14 sand drags in albrightshores mi by midland , much cheaper than wmdragway better pay backs better classes alot of guys are going there now instead of silver lake drags and no theres no sound check itsdrag racing anything goes

Aug 6 is the sand nationals at west michigan sand drags. Its going to be buisy. There is also a race on July 31rst, im going only to watch.
There are no rules for exhaust, open pipes are fine. You do need a teather kill switch. I think it costs $63 to race now. I have not raced there yet this year, but I go to see my dad race his truck.

This sunday (aug 1) there is a race in clarksville MI (bobsfamilyraceway.com). Im planing on racing my Z there. It is not as nice as by silver, but it is more fun ( dont have to sit around all day). They run the races through pretty quick. Its only $30 to race and they have 1 buyback for $20.
