It changes all the time but when I was last there on Memorial weekend it was not bad. There are not a lot of people up there between Memorial and Labor Day due to the summer heat. So I would expect the sand to be in pretty good condition. You wont be disappointed.

I'm sure there are others that travel further but, if you aren't willing to drive 10 hours on the West Coast to try out other dunes you really are limiting yourself. You may as well marry the woman that took your verginity and never look at another woman again as long as you live

Me. . . I like to enjoy the view Even if it means I'm in the car for a few hours.

very funny stuff and I must agree, it's just that I never traveled more than 5 hours for a dune ride
(North L.A. county i.e. the San Fernando Valley to Glamis)and it felt like forever. I just want to ride dunes outside CA. so I might make the trex.

I'm very interested in how that 470 runs.

I'll have my Yellow DS with the black flag (with flames on it). Who knows what else?
DuneMe, I raced those guys before the 470. ( I think)

I went to the Mountain on Sat. There were about 10 bikes out !!!!!!!!!!!!

It was like glass and we got a lot of good duning in.

lowbowtie,
yeah we were the guys you talked to. That was before the bigbore kits though. They will be running a bit quicker this time.

So, how did they do against you? Yikes, they are faster now ???

I better stay away from them. Or, bring a full face shield.

Was it a little warm up there?

Any whoops on the hill or are they all blown away?

Lowbowtie's 686 and my YFZ450 were about dead even all the way up the hill over memorial day. Ive changed quite a few things around since then and am hoping to get a few more mph's up the hill
