Default Sand Mtn. Utah-Fast Zs

I was at Sand Mtn. Utah last week end and there was a white Z400 who was smoking YFZ 450s. Did anyone see the white Z400 I am talking about? It was beating YFZ450s by 4 quad lengths up the hill.

There was also a yellow Z400 that was beating the YFZs.

Those Zs are FAST!

I was at St Anthony over labor day and there was a Z there from Utah that put a consistent whoopin on my YFZ at Choke Cherry. It was a 450 ported cams etc but not extravagant. Really ran good.

The one you are talking about most likely is:

434 Athena, DAB racing built. DAB head work, DAB combustion chamber mods, DAB valve job, and FCR carb, Hot Cams, and 12:1 piston.
The Yoshi 450's are fast as well, but very spendy, and the DAB is a stock stroke.
DAB is doing the work on my 450R(500R) head right now, that guy knows his stuff, and makes some very fast engines.
Very nice guy too. He is in Syracuse UT, don't call him until next week, he is in Hawaii.

Buddah, has a Yosh 450 .
A guy named Lee in Layton has a DAB racing 434 with DAB headwork, and it was definetly putting the smack down on some YFZ's.

It was an Athena 434 kit. The dude riding it was about 80lbs. I doubt it will beat my bro's Yoshi 450. It is white also... My bro talked to him.. If it's 110 race gas it's not really a fair comaprison. The 80lb Jockey isn't fair either.. Fair is 450cc max on pump gas. Any other bolt on is apples to apples.. Once you get out of these area's it's just a money game.. Oooops I didn't read KGB's response. Well that sounds like the quad ,so much for my rambling on..........Sorry

Dave is putting the strokers together now? Sweet, I talked to him this spring about a 686 for the rappy and he said mine would be his first, figured I would wait a year. He does some bad azz 2 stroke work. He did the brother in laws shee long stroke, and other bro in laws cr500 FAAAASSSSSSTTTTTTT. Ask him to see his cr500, looks like a piece of crap, flat out flies!!! DAB is a secret, everyone is in love with K&T, Barber is better and more fair on the money end!!!

Hey Hossblur. You think Dave is better then K&T. My Cr500 motor in my Suzuki LT250 frame was built by Dave Barber quite a while back. It was ported but only for pump gas all around. I want to get some more extensive porting done to it this winter. I was going to go to K&T but do you think it would be better to just take it back to Dave?
