I'd go with the ITP Sand Stars. You can get the directional rear tires. The fronts have the dual rib design that is supposed to make you steer a lot better. I got the front sand stars on my V-Force and I was pissed cause i wanted the sand star rear tires but everyone had them on back order so i had to settle with the Sand Geckos. They work pretty good but I will sell them and get the Sand Stars sometime. Sometimes you don't even need front sand tires. Stock tires work pretty good.

Sand Stars... Funny thing about the sand stars is the they were only making left tires for awhile then they decided to make only right tires to compensate, then there was a back order of left tires lol. Then they finally got it right and make em right now... Man ITP is messed up
Geckos aren't bad...But their real heavy!
Sand Shark also work really good to

Ok I have Sandstars all the way around and they work great!!! I like the rears even better for all around duning than my haulers I sold! The hills around here also can get very steep like over at winchester bay and they climb everything I want then to!! The fronts are great at turning and floating. Get 20" on the rear on douglas .160 rims with 10" wheels, and 22" for the front with .125 rims. From rockymountain atv. That's exactly what I have and I highly recommend them to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!! Get those u won't regret it!!!

Haulers throw the most sand without even trying. Just ask my buddies I ride with. I threw a set of sand skate 2's away and put the haulers on. They hook really good and I don't have any problems turning. You can just cruise with these tires and they throw sand 20 feet behind you.

Geckos don't work well on the 400. I pulled them off and right before they went in the garbage, I put 'em on the 450r. I love those tires now.

Yea, ide go with badbiker ... haulers are the way to go ... If you want it to through sand then go with em .... sand stars are great for duning and playin around in the sand but haulers hook up better .... im runnin the 10 paddle haulers on my polaris and front dune trackers and they work great all around .... but the sand stars are kinda heavy compared to the haulers, dont get me wrong, the haulers are also pretty good for duning to, but i think the sand stars would be the better choice for duning .... go with the haulers .. 7 or 8 paddles on the haulers are more than enough for a 400. I just put a set of dune trackers on the front and I'm very pleased with the improvement in turning in the sand. Actually makes the haulers kick around a little easier and when you straighten up they grab and go.
