Need opinoins on quad for dunes
#1
Went to the dunes for the first time this yr (virgin) and loved it, think I will make an anual trip from now on!
Prob is I have two Suzuki KQ's (05 700's) and they are not that much fun there So anyway I am looking at either a Banshee or a Suzuki 250R QR, I love the Banshee but I can pick up a QR pretty cheap. I am also a mod guy (stock sucks) would I be able to spice up the Suzuki or should I just hold out for a Banshee?
Thanks!

The Suzuki will spice up fairly well, but they are getting old and parts availability is becoming an issue. They also vibrate more than a Banshee. I had one for many moons, loved it, but I'd go Bansh if I were you there are many good deals out there for them.

Which dunes do you go to??? Oregon dunes for example has a lot of trails, so I wouldn't choose a Shee for that. Better off on some kind of trail bike. On the other hand, for the wide open spaces, the Shee is very thrilling.
And, there are a ton of dandy 4-strokes out there.................

The 250 would be fun because of its size and wieght but the banshee would be cheaper and easier to mod because its so common and since there so many out there you should be able to get a good deal on one.

That is what I thought the conseses would be. I think I will hold out for a Shee, but the wait is going to kill me I wanna start moddin and rippin around!
