Turbo ds?!?! new King?!?!
#3
There were a couple of turbo DS units at St Anthony this summer. We were racing up Thunder and they ran pretty good but certainly nothing I'd say was worth the big bucks. A little faster than my YFZ if I remember right, and the bike motor guys killed them of course. With a nitrous bottle I would have wasted them and been in it $600 rather than $4000.
I didn't talk to those guys however, and don't know if they were just getting them dialed in or what.

they said with the turbo its up around 70+hp. that would walk away from a yfz. and turbos are alot easier to keep going. plus no bottles to refill. remember speed is a money game. you get what you pay for.

Hey Derby,
Probably not making those drags although it'd be a hoot. With school starting now we have football and soccer games out the ying yang, and I gotta shoot some innocent creatures for my freezer and we're working on a major exterior house remodel too. Never a minute to rest! But we did have a good dune trip and the campgrounds were totally jammed, lots of cool machines etc. There was a KFX700 with this goofy looking wheelie bar, and man he flew up the hills, saw him waste a couple of Banshees on the steep part of the backside of Thunder (off to the right of where you ate it )
Now just hoping we can get a couple good mountain rides in, looks like the dune trips are done for me this year.

scooby is on this forum somewhere, he has a homebuilt turbo DS, ive seen it action its fast! it was king of the hill that day. KMS does the turbo/EFi and they'll run you about $4500, and its around 80hp. Someone allready made a post about it the otehr day, but KMS got a raptor to 140hp. It should be king of the hill.
