Default Raptor 350 in the dunes?

My friend says a 350 is too small to have fun on in the sand dunes, I say you can still have fun even if its only a 350. What do you all think?

P.S
What kinda sand paddles would ya'll recomend for a 350?

Well I don't know where you are going but I had my 300ex out at Silver lake and I had the stock tires on it and I was able to make it up any hill out there from starting at the bottom and I had a really fun time so if my 300ex was fine i am sure the raptor will do good it has a little more so that should help can't help you on the paddles though sorry

We've ridden many different rigs in the dunes over the years. Even our LT230 worked and was fun, you just couldn't go up any big hills. But we ran an LT250 4 stroke, it was just fine, and a 300EX which was also fine and plenty of fun. And that's at the dunes in St Anthony which are many times larger than Silver lake. Your 350 Raptor will be just fine. Heck one of my kids rides a Blaster, granted it's kinda built up and he's 90 pounds, but he can pull any hill out there.

Pick up some Sand Sharks for good budget paddles in a 21-10-8 and you're cookin.

I'd go with a paddle that doesn't have too much hookup or it will bog down on you. I was disappointed when I put sandstars on my stock Z400 until I piped it. I've heard the geckos don't hookup as much and they are one of the cheaper paddles too. If you have the money, go with a skat trak hauler in a 6 or 7 paddle. Also, gear your front sprocket down a tooth, you can get one for less than $15.
