Sorry we"ll miss ya. My trip starts 25th of this month and ends memorial day. We will have about 50 quads there and 18 Rv's. easter was a blast. This is an awesome place and the sand is best on earth. Have fun and stay safe. Easter had 25 major injuries and one fatality. Don't be any of those.

My RV and my sons RV where both standing in water in our camp circle. Many camps where in water from the storm and strong winds blew away tents. I have a 4 wheel drive dodge diesal and so does about all who where in our camp, so no prob. We adjusted and survived. Ironically, I came to this web sight and found pics of easter 2005 with the "lakes" in the same places. I am surprised the park service hasn"t done more to remedy this. When you go, seek high ground to camp or potentially suffer the same fate. You are arriving in our monsoon season.

We were in Winnemucca Nevada (sand dunes) for easter it wasn't really busy but the wind sucked it was better to be riding so we did get alot of riding in but monday morning we woke up to snow so we left. I thought the wind was gonna blow our camper off the truck or blow the truck over so you must have been in the same storms over there not to far away at least by the way the crow flys. It sucked but I am hoping it will be better in June in Utah.

This will be our 2nd annual trip to St.A's about the same time last year it was hot but it was a blast and the kids had fun having water fights so I don't mind the heat so much just ride early and late. Fun though. And I do understand the heat can suck.

The temps forcast for Sand Mountain over Memorial day weekend are a wonderful 80 degrees. That compared to my local 100+ days makes it like riding in my air condtioned home. 5 more days. I am jonesing for them dunes.
