Default Confused???

A good friend of mine and riding buddy just bought a stock YFZ450. we do a lot of dune riding but have a pretty decent trail riding/logging roads area about 10 minutes from town. I ownly have about $2400 and am looking for the second best thing to a yfz. Or something that can run even with it after a few mods. I've heard that a 400ex with a 440 kit, pipe, and rev box is equal to a stock yfz. Also have seen a couple predators and 660's for under $2500.banshee? Basically i want something that can at least compete with a yfz in the sand and trail.

any help would be great.thanks.

Default Confused???

well the banshee in the dunes would be a good comparison especially if you pipe the shee, in the trails would be a different story depending on the terrain. if it is mostly flat and straight then no worries. 2 strokes have a powerband they like to be run in where as 4 strokes have a more consistent throttle all the way thru. the rappy 660 is a good machine and is great for both trail and dunes. dont know much about the 440's other than they exsist none of my riding buddies have one so never rode one. which ever quad you choose if you go to the dunes with it make sure you pick up a good set of paddles for it to get the full enjoyment out of the quad. hope that helps
