Oh yeah, plenty of Banshee's ripping it up for sure. I live in Utah and see lot's of Banshee's every time I go out there, but they are mainly just climbing the drag racing hills, most of the duning is done with the 4 strokes.

How would my piped/jetted 400ex handle the big hills at Glamis? I dont know for sure, but I think it is geared a little low for dunes also. It came that way, and seems like I am topped out in 5th rather quick. It also came with a set of rear paddles. Would it be able to climb the big stuff?

Oh yeah! It just takes some trial and error to learn to use your power in the sand. You really have to let your RPMs climb.

For the REALLY big dunes 400ex's struggle but for most of the dunes out there you're just fine.

Struggle yes they do..... but... there are walls (sand walls) @ Glamis that a 400EX will not make it up...

Being I will be a first timer, I probably wont hit the really steep stuff. And since its called a "wall", I imagine they are steep. I wanted to make sure that I could at least have a little fun on some of the bigger stuff. Get to enjoy the thrill factor of climbing the hills. I just didn't know what to expect.

You'll be able to get a round fine and climb most of the dunes out there.... As for the wall's, start up them and if ya start running out of steam, make a u turn and head back down. Be sure to lean toward the hill side when turning.. Also, most of the time, there's a round about, or alternate way that you can skirt around to get up to the top if you can't make the a hill... You'll have a blast....

China Wall at Glamis will test ANY quad....pretty much had to sit on the handle bars to keep the front end down to make it up!! And the ride down was crazy fast. Man I love Glamis. Off to Dumont tomorrow, Turkey and sand go hand in hand!
