Go with the 18" as they will give you a "little" more acceleration to get you on top of the sand quicker. Your tire choise is a good one. Blasters can lose a lot of power if you have to deep of a paddle. I know you will have fun in the sand. After you try Silver Lake the next closest Dune area is Little Sahara in Waynoka, OK. Go to www.waynoka.com and surf around. It is further away but has 1500 acres of riding area. Then just keep heading West as the Dunes keep getting bigger and better.

dude, go with 22" I'm serious!

I tried out a pair of my buddies skat trak haulers 20" and thought they sucked (for my bike).not the skat traks, just the size.

I ended up going with dune hoppers 22" and have way more power, speed, everything.

if you really want to go with the smaller tire, make sure you gear your bike accordingly. or, you will lose all your top end and thats what you use most of the time in the dunes.

a couple months ago in atv sport they did a sand tire shootout. they used a banshee (which has 20" stock rear tires). the winner of the shootout was 22" skat trak haulers with baldy fronts.

as far as getting on top of the sand, the gliders are a good choice because of the smaller paddle they will not dig. and skat traks are light as hell!
