Hey, I'll be there the 29th. Look for a white lifted ranger in the lot. I got a blue banshee and my buddy has a yellow 400ex. My name is Ryan

We'll be there Saturday. Look for a Quadzilla with Sandskate 2 paddles and Dune Tracker fronts (that's me) riding with a Quadracer 250 and a decked out red Honda 250R mx machine. He'll probably be way behind though because he's bringing his girlfriend on his brothers LT250R with Haulers and the nasty yellow Maier nose piece. We'll have a blue '93 Dakota with a white covered snowmobile trailer. See ya all there. Have fun but ride safe.

Wilderp,

Sorry this is off the subject, but how do you like the Avalanche? I have a dilemma, want a new truck, dont know what to get whether its the new Avalanche or a GMC 2500HD with the Turbo diesel, Or even Denali XL, or wait for the Denali truck with the 4 wheel steering and the AWD. Too many choices to little time. Have fun in the sand

So far I love the Avalanche! It was a big hit at the dunes,... everyone stared at it...
I was also considering a Yukon Denali and the Cadi Escalade. I had a 99 Escalade and liked it, but the new ones are 52k, and the Denali is 47k, and the leases are no good anymore for the estimated residual price. The Avalance stickered at 38k, with every possible option (including the running boards I took off)so I bought it. I knew Cadi was coming out with a truck like the avalanche, but did not hear about a denali version. Since it has the wheelbase of the suburban, it rides really good,... even with the Z71 off road package.
Good luck..

Hey wilderp, I looked for you at the dunes Sunday. But didn't find a black avalanche. But there was 2 red ones there. Someone got busted up pretty good while trying to skim some water. His raptor was busted up good too. I finally lost 2nd gear in my banshee while drag racing. I guess I've got a little too much power. Hopefully it was just the gear dogs. I was planning on getting 3 of them machined off anyway. Seems like no one there had a big bore setup. Mostly ported 350's. I can waste them.

Yeh,.. I ended up skipping Sunday. Had a lot of running Fri and Sat, and the clouds were kinda thick Sunday.

Did someone else try that water hole? I hydroplained across it on my Quadzilla and hit a piece of driftwood or something on my way off it knocking my front tire off the bead and sending me and the Zilla for a pretty wicked tumble. I went and seen the doctor today and she said that I just have a sprained ankle and a deeply bruised hip and shoulder, nothing serious though thanfully. It's still painfull though. I tried the one near the straight shot leading to the exit near where we used to do the drag racing. That was about 3:00 on Saturday. What happened to the guy on the Raptor? Is he ok?

Yup it was the same waterhole. I was told by his freind that he had skimmed it earlier and was doing it again to get a pic. He made it accoss but towards the end he went over the handlebars. He was heading towards the lake. The front left ssuspention was messed up, the handlebars were bent down around the tank and the rear left subframe was bent atleast 3 inches down, the front radiator cover was halfway ripped off, and the rear fenders were tore up. There at the scene they determined his collar bone was broke, I think there were more injuries than that. His buddy said he just got this raptor and this is the 3rd time he has broke his collar bone. He must have laid there atleast a half hour with paramedics around him. The fog did roll in a bit throughout the day, it helped cool off the air. I got my engine apart and all the gears look fine. I am getting 3 drive dogs milled off a couple of the gears. Then no more missed shifts. Soon I 'll be picking up a 6" or 4" over swingarm. Then I can run my 22" haulers. Better watch out!
