I have heard people talk about these dunes and beleive they are south of Las Vegas somewhere. I am looking for a place to dune during the winter. I think glamis is too far for a 4 day trip. I would need like 7 days or more because of getting there.

Anyway, if you can point me to some sites with info about these dunes, I would appreciate it.

Dumont Dunes is Northwest of Las Vegas and Glamis is Southwest of Las Vegas. Sites...

Took us about a day dirving streight through to get to glamis, your right I won't go without a week off work, we were planing on going in mid December but we're putting it off till Feb/March due to work situation

 

It's real simple, going south from Las Vegas (Hwy 15) until you get to Baker, then turn right (North) at the worlds tallest thermometer. Gateway to Dumont dunes and Death Valley.
