Go to www.planetsand.com There will be plenty of help at the site to help you. You can subscribe to their newsletter to keep current until you head to Utah.

Oct and April are the best. May is typically 65 at beginning on the month and 85 at the end of the month. Sand is harder in the spring. November can be good depending on Mother Nature's cold spells and snow. Mid April is the best if it doesn't rain. If you're camping May and September are best. March is good too if you don't mind cool 40-50 degrees.

I want powder bansheewarrior - no hard sub-surface - dry as can be - maybe late May, early June? Lets hear some pros and cons from everybody on sand conditions. Nver been there myself, don't know what kind of sand it is...

May the sand is dry. It's drier in Sept. It rained hard last weekend. Bring a Camel Back if you come and temps are over 80, because it's much hotter on the sand. Sand is just like Glamis.

3tv, I am coming to little sahara in august. Will it be too hot? I do not plan to buy any paddles for only one trip. Will my holeshots allow me to have any fun? I don't really care about shooting big hills, can I roost in the bowls and do some jumping with the holeshots?

I hate to bug you with so many questions but i don't want to make the over 2000 mile trip for nothing, so i have a few more if you don't mind. Are there any sound level checks at any of the Utah dunes? What is the closet place(to Little Sah) to stay in a hotel that has some nice restaurants and stuff for my wife to do? and how long will it take to drive to the dunes from there?

Do you know anything about the dunes in Northern Colorado near Walden? I forget the name but I think they have some sand trails through pine forrest there also.
