raptor with fmf got in at 98db and that thing is loud. looks like dirtbikes are the ones having problems getting pass.

 

Thanks for the replies about the vouchers and noise law. That is a big help. Although I probably won't be able to get there until around 9 - 10pm Friday night. I will be leaving Indy about 5 pm.

Guess it will be possible to have some problems getting a voucher on Sat. morning. What time do they stop giving out vouchers Friday evening if they are not all taken quickly? Oh, and where do I get the voucher? It's not at that little pro shop at the gate is it?

I think they give out vouchers on Friday night until midnight. The voucher center is located just up the road from the dunes about a mile. You should pass it on your way to the dunes. There are signs there for the voucher center. The voucher center is on the left hand side of the road going toward the dunes.

 

sometimes the voucher center will be open past midnight close to 1 am. silver lake is not busy this year. the vouchers weren't a big deal when i went. they had plenty.

 

Midnight ~ possibly 1am ~ that's great! That is a relief knowing that I won't have to RUSH up there.(shhhh, after all, I will have the wife with)

i'll be there on the 22nd too, it will be cool to meet eraptoid and 95warrior on the same trip, should be a good time to go, hopefully i can get in (vouchers?) ive never been there on the weekend either, oh yeah ernie, depending on which way you come in will depend on wether or not you drive past the voucher place, if you come from hart it will be right on your way but if you come from shelby (??) you wont go by it,


not sure on the shelby way, thats the way i come from but i cant remember which town is the last town from that way

oh yeah, i'll be there on the 19th of july too, its my wifes virgin trip and we already had it planned when eraptoid talked me into going this sat.

so maybe i'll catch up with magnum too

 

if your coming up from south take second silver lake exit. its faster. just turn left off exit ramp.

 

ATC86R - are you talking about the second exit for S.L. off of 31? is this the Hart exit and it goes through Mears? this is the way that we have taken in the past.

Can anyone give me some places to stay at so I can start calling for reservations? The one place (silver lake hills resort) that we always stayed before is FULL. Now I don't have a clue what else is there.
