When is Roostfest suppose to be? I have not heard very much on it this year.

The people at Little Sahara state park wanted to use the name "Roostfest" for their own event. Under my request they decided to come up with a new name. Their event (Sandfest) will be held on September 13-15th. calendar of events

The one and only Roostfest will be this New Years at Glamis!!! We just finalized on dates/location, and I will be posting info on my site in the next few days. The whole idea behind Roostfest is to ride somewhere else for each event (If at all possible) The great people at Little Sahara Ok thought that we would bring our event there every year when thats not possible for everyone else (those that cant make it) I am sure we will make it back, were just not sure when! Way to many dunes and not enough time!

I'm thinking really hard about going... It's going to be a busy month, but I think I can pull it off.

I don't know if I could still ride those old 3-wheelers [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] -- although I'd love to get the old R out in the sand.

BTW, got an FMF Ti4 (Factory Moto) pipe put on one of our Cannondale's, VERY nice boost in power across the board. Now, I'm going to have to put one on the other CD too...

Dunedevil, Where did you hear they were going to have a tree & timing lights?
I've always been under the impression that the state wouldn't allow a real race but they'd turn a blind eye to an unoffical outlaw event.

It's been organized with the state's permission apparently. It's on the messageboards.

That's great!! Maybe the rumors I heard of regular drag race at Sahara is true!
Is it in the park or private land?
We used to have real drags there all the time in the 70"s.
