Is anybody going to go to pismo for turkey day? Anybody going to enter the sand drags they are going to have down there? Last year i guess the weather was pretty wet, but maybe this year will be better? So, is anybody going to go? Thanks

 

Wish I was going... but they aren't taking any more reservations.. although my friends have this wild idea to go earlier in the week and just stay through the weekend..not sure that will happen.. we may end up at Sand Mountain...should be a fun but crowded weekend!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Hey quadkaryn, you could come to pismo. Thats a heck of a difference~~~pismo and sand mountain. Hehe. If you cant get a place to stay our doors are always open to fellow riders. That is...as long are your normal...hehe. But anyways, it should be a good weekend Pismo is really starting to get big!

 

Do you live near Pismo?? I actually have friends that live in Nipomo which isn't far.. but it's just not the same riding all day then having the leave the beach at night..... drinking beer or Jack & Cokes and sitting around the fire is the next best thing to riding...

Normal.. hmmmm.. had to think about that one for a minute.. but, yes, I think I would be considered normal.. haha! 10 fingers.. 10 toes... no third eye...... blonde (not purple) hair... works 40hrs (most of the time, hehe), have people that actually call themselves my friends... so yes, that makes me normal! I'll be down there with a group of people. Hopefully the wind will blow the dunes smoothe between now and then as they've
been darn torn-up for most of the year. Remember, a so-so day at the dunes is better than sitting at home.

Quadkaryn: Your right, leaving the beach at night feels like youv'e been banished... and nothing is finer than sitting around a camp fire, tilting good (liquid) spirts amoungst friends after a day of riding.... Ah... I can hear the crackli'n fire..., feel the heat. the waves crashing provide soothing audio to the ears.... start to melt into the chair... fall into a semi-comatose (vegative) state...... Ah.... what bliss! Till...
awakened by hot feet!!!!! Sit-up, pull feet back, note... shoe soles...smokin'n....!!! Eeek! fell asleep @ the fire, Doah!

Ah... the sand, the crashing waves, the campfires....the sand, the crashing waves, the campfires.... the sand, the crashing waves, the campfires.... Sub-conscious directs hand to slap head... awaken from light trance to find self @ work staring at a monitor. As always, can't wait to get there.

Ohhhhhhh... I wanna go to Pismo NOW.. Rudedog, after that vivid description how can I NOT want to go! There's nothing better than a little sand in your food, a little sand in your drink, ALOT of sand in my trailer, walking around smelling like the fire, the waves crashing, the dunebuggy's screaming by and the view from the tallest dune looking out at the ocean!!!

I'm actually headed down there on the 25th!!! Can't wait... now I just need to work on Thanksgiving.. and sneaking on the beach somehow.. haha! Just not the same to have to leave at night! Would hate to have to build a fire in my portable firepit and drive my quad up and down the street on Thanksgiving... it's just not the same! Hahaha..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]
