Well, I do not like closures at all, however if it works to keep out the party kids then I am all for it.

I have seen many photos from glamis and it seems like there is always a group just sitting there drinking. I am up for a couple of beers here and there (after the riding is done for the day), but to go to the dunes just to party seems like a waste to me.

As for night riding, there will still be plenty of that, they are only closing off the party spots.

I feel for the people trying to regulate this peice of desert. It must be tough and really intimidating to try and regulate a huge group of people with only 40 officers.

I dont really care about the closings, as long as they control the parties, and dont lead to more enviro's trying to close the whole thing to riding. I am glad to see that they realize the off roaders are for the most part not the ones causing trouble.

It is a scary thought to go to the dunes and end up in a shoot out with someone. I just dont understand why people have to ruin vacations for others.

The real problem is that you can not legislate stupidity.

Oh, hey I have an idea, maybe if we tell all the kids out there to party that if they smoke the milk weed (or whatever it is called) they can get high and there is a whole bunch somewhere else. Then the enviro natzi's can fight with them instead of us.

Oh well, if it works I am all for it.

I don't think it will keep the party kids away. They will migrate.....to the next hill. Why would you close the place where you know where the trouble makers are? Now there just gunna have to chase them all over. At least then they knew where the trouble was. Gheez.

Yea, Ill see ya this weekend. Ill be there Saturday, maybe Friday night if I know someone there(some frineds are coming in from Colorado Saturday,. other wed.) Where are you guys going to camp. Maybe If I head out, i can chill with you guys for the night, let me know!

If we get rid of those as$holes, the tree huggers won't have as much to complain about. With them gone there won't be bottles, cans, garbage, and logs littering Comp. If you get drunk and ride you will get arrested too. Hopefully this solution does the trick and will only have to be temporary. Heres another idea- find the trouble makers and beat the **** out of them and see if they come back for more.

 

I want to be there when they try to move the party to Olds. It will look like the "highway of death" in Iraq with drunk kids trying to dig their trucks out of the sand all along the road to Olds. I can see it now, little-miss-sixteen yelling at her boyfriend about how his daddies stupid truck is always getting stuck. It'll be great.

BTW...duning at night is not about shooting up a baby hill with 10,000 people. Try the big-bowl run from Olds to Comp. Now that's a night ride, and it won't be closed.

I'm camped in vendors. head straight in on the road, we're on the right just a little ways in up against the small dunes. We're leaving today about 1 ish. Um its gunna be a siver- '02- F250- 4 door-(silver flames across the back window--still has paper plates from fairview ford) hooked up to a white 24or so inch (baja?) toy hauler. My b-friends red and black banshee--96. my white and blue trx250r all stickered up since i own a sign shop, and a warrior-(yuck). Most likely we'll be at olds everynight. I'll keep and eye out for ya saturday!!

 

I wonder if they will close the hill again during Four Stroke Wars..Hmm
