Where would you guys camp at Glamis, We stayed at Ogilby last year. Some small trees, good access to dunes, but was wondering if there was a closer spot to access the larger dunes, but still a more private spot to camp. We will be there in MARCH, comming from Minnesota. Thanx!!

There is a spot called 5 mile drop. It is 5 miles above the Gordons Well area and directly across from Patton Valley. Not many people camp there. If you get off the Gordons Well Exit and head towards the dunes you would have to cross the canal to get to Gordons Well/Dune Buggy Flats. To get to 5 Mile Drop DO NOT cross the canal. Instead take the canal road (on the West side) 5 miles north. When you get to the first bridge the camping spot is on the left of the canal road just across from the bridge.
It a quiet place with good dune access right across the bridge!

HERE IS A MAP

Tore my Achilles Tendon. Kick starter kicked back and bent my foot towards my shin
A not so pretty picture of the staples in my leg right before the staples were taken out

Thanks Mike,
I was about to grab some lunch at CPK but you just saved me $15. What kind of boots do U wear? I'll make sure not to get those.

LOL.
The boots were Tech6 but a couple of the buckles were broken. New Tech8's are on the way

You did THAT with a pair of Tech 6's on??? That's what I wear and I would have never guessed that would be possible. I thought you were gonna tell me you tried kickin' it over with a pair of Teva's on or something. Makes me wonder if someone didn't slip a Cummin's piston in that beast of yours?! Heal quick Bro, it's getting warmer every day! -RT
