Default What dunes should I go to?

Me & a few of my riding buddies are planning on a dune trip sometime in July, I would like to know whats the closest dunes to Pennsylvania or Ohio? Also would 21" Smooth Buff front Tires and 20" Hauler 8-Paddles be a good choice of tire for my Speed? Also does anybody make a 25" Sand Paddle for a 12" Wheel?

Thanks

I couldn't tell you about the dunes up there. But I do run those haulers on my Raptor.....and they do fine! You can't go wrong with Haulers.

Closest dunes are probably Silver Lake but if you don't mind driving a ways why not hit some serious dunes. I would say go to St. Anthony, Idaho. You can stop at Walden, Colorado on your way out to get your feet wet before you hit the MONSTER dunes in Idaho.

Silver lake has a voucher type system and noise limitations and apparently gets pretty packed - others could give you better details.

I guess it really depends on how far you want to drive. Your choice of tires for the Speed sounds good. Not sure about the 25" paddles though - sounds too big for any quad except maybe a real high HP dedicated hillshooter.

Silver Lakes a nice place to ride, just make sure you have your spark arestor and you should be good to go. As for the sound ordinence it mainly goes towards the trucks and buggies that were running open hedders, as long as you have a full exaust with a spark arrestor you should be fine, just some thouogts if you come this way.

I run an 8 paddle hauler and they do great. I ride at st anthony. If you are willing to drive that far, it is really worth it.
