Default Tips for novices?

I'm taking my boys to Winchester Bay tomorrow for spring break. The 12 y-o has ridden a two-wheeler in the mountains but this will be his first time on his own quad. Any tips?

Any other nice kids going to be around?

Thanks

we ride all the time with my kids, be sure to keep them with you thier first time out explain how the razor backs work so they don't have a crash. make sure they know to watch out for them selfs. other than that have fun it is the best oh and take the time to learn there machines in the sand, the power is different, and some of those hills are long.

An update: We had awesome weather Monday through Thursday! The boys had a great time! The older one loved riding a quad - the little guy rode with me.

Winchester Bay has cool dunes - I used to ride Glamis and Pismo in the 80s.

There were some great teens that were staying at Discovery Point and they were really kind to my 12 - y- o. Mike and Dan, you are a credit to your folks!

We'll be back again. Woo hoo!
