I absolutely loved it! I thought the weather was great! Rode in a T-shirt and Shorts the whole weekend. Easter was a little cold for me ... especially at night. It will prob be my last trip till it cools down though

I saw the crf450ex at the base of comp hill and talked to him. He said he built it all himself with no kit. never saw him run but it sure looked nice! I was camped back in the cove area

Raptorjay I looked for ya ... didnt see any raptor with a yellow swingarm, I did see an orange and white 250r with a Chico Honda sticker on it over near the wall. was he in your camp?

I saw a few dumb things ..... including me setting my hand on fire , a Z-71 drive up comp hill in reverse, sleds dragging up the banshee hill .... worst thing I saw was the medi-vac helicopter. We partied with one of those guys the night before, I hope they are OK.

when did the helicopter come in, I never saw it. did anyone see the nitro powered street bike engine quad go up the hill, I watched him do 90 and pull a wheelie the whole way, he had to back off like 4 times going up the hill because he almost looped it, I believe he was the fastest because I saw no one beat him. As for the weather, hot was not the word, there were lizards knocking on my rv door asking to come in because they couldn't handle the hit. also thats the first time I have seen that many rangers in one place, I am glad they were there to keep the peace, did anyone else notice the drug/explosive sniffing dog they had. I watched it sniffing around looking for the goods.

Hey RudeDog,

I hope it wasn't you or your group that my wife accidently bumped tires with. We were right along the first fence about 4 campsites from the road. There was almost a fight when it happened because the guys 250R wasn't running right. She accidently bumped him up in the dunes and felt really bad. It was her first time riding in the sand and she ended up crying quite a bit because of it.

The weather was really hot, definitely too hot to be tent camping with no A/C. I got up there Wednesday at noon and did not leave until Sunday afternoon. The entire time, I didn't ride too much because of dehydration. My wife said she had an aweful time.

Yes, HOT could describe the weekend there. We were the group of mostly weekend warrior trailers in a big circle right by the first bathroom. We got there at 5am thursday morning and left midday monday. Sunday and monday the weather was actually bearable and we got in the good rides. Put 45 hours on the generator in the new trailer running the AC and stuff. It sure got a workout. We had a great time getting back together with the DS group, didnt get as many good rides in due to the unbearable heat. We had about 10 DS's in our group and is a nice warmup to DS days, hope to see 50 of them out there. On our way home a shock broke off on our rear bunk in the trailer and the bed came down and now has a hole in it from the sandrail exhaust. No local dealers will do warranty work in a timely manner so i will have to haul it down to the weekend warrior factory next week in socal. They will replace it with a whole new bed

Bummer Sean.

You have the new seat-belt attachment for the bed right?

Sorry I wasn't much fun to ride with. Would have ridden much more if I hadn't had problems.

yes, it is a bummer, but atleast it wasnt on our next trip which is 2 weeks long up to oregon dunes at the end of june/early july. The rear of the bed had 2 of those rubber bunjee things and that held, it was the front that didnt, the top of the drivers side front shock bent at the top and broke off and the whole front came down so it was at an angle.
