Default Cbr Into 400ex

Has anyone ever tried a cbr motor of any size into a 400ex frame? i have a 99 that has been 440ed out and i've givin up on tryin to keep it together. I just want to do something different but that isnt way out there in inextentive modifications to the frame and is also on a low budget. If anyone knows anything any help is appreciated...

Default Cbr Into 400ex

there is a guy I know on another forum that has a cbr1000 motor in a 400ex, he goes by bigCTD on http://www.silverlakeforum.com. His name is AJ, he is a pretty cool guy and I'm sure he will help you out if he can.

ya thas a good idea because, they 400ex frame is'nt to light and flimsy, and its not to heavy to. what size are you thinking, and when you start(if you do) get some pictures.

id pick my engine size by first locating a crashed cbr...with the whole bike youll do less part hunting,and cbr's and ex's have the same chain size ...so it would mainly be a matter of fitting and mounting the engine+ raditoir and getting the chain lined up properly..
