i love my z.. its an awsome all around quad. the 05 and up are the better of the z's mainly because they have the ressie front shocks. they are great on the mx track stock... i ride at a private track and air it out alot.. but you can also see by the pictures and my signature that my suspension is far from stock. i would recomend the z to anybody.

hmmm... are there any other differences between the pre-05's and 05+'s besides the front suspension? and whats the powerband like? torquey or alot of topend? lastly, any reliability problems to look out for?

thanks alot for all your help dude

i believe the 05 and up carbs are a bit bigger they are a bsr36. and the 05 and up carbs have so sensors in them not to sure what they do the bike runsfine w out them. stock powerband is not bad at all id recomend droping down to 13t front and that will make a world of differance for tourqe releability if it is taken care of properly youll never have an issue. make sure you keep the valves in spec and youll be good to go. if you dont keep the valves in spec you will have problems w the valves. oh yea the swing arm design is different in 05 also mainly the carrier adjusters is whats different.

yes they come 14-40 stock. the black blob is the blob that has the start button and all that stuff. what u do is get an rm killswitch for a start button wire the lights together so they come on when the key is turned on to the light position. then you get a manual pull coke for the carb. it cleans the bars up alot.
