Another beautiful high meadow.

Sundown bringing out the color in the rock.

Barney Lake and surrounding area from rockslide above Barney Lake.

Sun setting on Day 4 of riding.

Dry Creek Canyon. Could hear a creek down there but wasn't willing to risk falling down the scree.

Nearing the bottom of Dry Creek Canyon and the end of the 4th day of riding.

We had been stopped by thunderstorms from going to the Bryce Canyon area on Thursday. This storm stopped us again on Friday. Got hit by a small downpour with big fat drops that hurt at 35 mph.

Came around a corner to see 2 large redtail hawks. They flew off to reveal their dinner.

Little closer to the storm south of Circleville. Right where we wanted to go.

High meadows where cattle grazes around 8,000 ft. I often wonder who got the job to run all the fence that high up.

Moose One near Three Creeks.

Heading out to the dunes at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, two hours south of Marysvale.

Moose One and PJ heading out.

Rain stayed just to the east of us. Didn't get a drop while we were there.

Captured the color a little better in this pic.

Climbed to the top of that one. 4wd was a must for my beast in the dunes.

Moose One tried to climb this innocent looking dune. Was much steeper than anticipated. He had to back down laying on the handlebars. This pic is after when he wanted to climb and look around.

Our steeds. My Outlander Max XT-P 650. Moose One and PJ's Scrambler XP 1000's. They had a good bit easier time than I did. They rode mostly in 2wd. I was surprised by how well my beast did.

Loading up for the long ride home.

It's hard to take a bad picture there.

Love it!! Thanks for sharing the pics. Looks like you guys had a great time. I still dream of getting the time and funds to together for a trip to the Piaute trails someday. Pretty cool getting to meet Doug, I like watching his shows on YouTube. Thanks again for sharing.

Looks like you all had a great time. Great pics. I wish I lived closer. Just haven't had the time to travel anywhere that far away. I'd like to think my Brute would do pretty good in the dunes too. I wouldn't quite be able to keep up with those Scramblers but I bet I wouldn't be left too far behind.

I've had difficulties finding a job with limitations because of nerve damage. Friend of mine has a flood cleanup business that got really busy the winter before last. I did drawings of the buildings the crews were working on and entered the information about the work they did in the buildings. It was good enough to save $30-$40 each paycheck. I wouldn't have been able to fly out and rent a machine (Around $1000 for rental, $500+ for the flight, and 1/5th of a rental car.) We found a nice cabin for $650, and each share of gas ended up being $521. Made it just affordable for me. I spent just under $1000 for everything including gas, food, and lodging. Not too bad.
