Most of the Stripers were caught on the Hudson River. we had a lot of good luck right by the Tappan Zee bridge. everything else was caught in western Long Island Sound. Right off of City Island.

Bing--- I also love my Parker. This thing is built like a tank! We got caught out there in a couple of big storms and never felt unsafe.. I keep saying on want a bigger Parker. I really like the 2520 pilot house but for what I do and where I go no need for the extra expense. I'll wait until I retire then look for a bigger one..

It looked like great time's, and you do catch some unusual fish campared to what we have here inland & on the great lakes (Michigan for me), do you eat sea robins?

I sure wish that we'd have bought a bigger boat as our 18.5' is just a little short for our big water where 20' is the magic number.

Sea robins are considered a dog/nuisance fish around here. I thought they were cool to catch.. I do not think they eat them.. Lake Michigan, that's like being on the ocean.. The one thing I really like about salt water fishing is that you never know what you are going to catch. Last summer we had over 200 dolphin come into the western sound.. That was cool. There were so many that the Coast Gard had to set up a perimeter around them so boats would run into them.. The down side was that they (dolphin) hammered the bait fish and the fishing really sucked for the next few weeks in the area.
