It would help to know where and what type of terrain you ride in but IMO you would be happy with the 500 and up Sportsman's and Grizzly's.
I have the XP 850 Sportsman and love it! It has lots of power, handles well, has a nice smooth ride and an excellent 4x4 system.
The 700 Griz would be my 2nd. choice, It's also a great all around quad!
The best way to figure out what one is right for you is to ride them all first!
Good luck!

Not sure if this is an upgrade! LOL!

Since you have a 660 and 500 and are now going to a ute you should really consider an 800cc or close to it. You are used to the speed and power of the quickers sportys and I just don't think you'd be happy with a 500 or less. I can relate to this having always had sporty's and now having utes too.

There are so many good utes out there and all are very different. I would suggest the suzuki king quad, the sportsman and maybe Honda. I would look hard at the renegade 800R. It is a cross over (sport/ute) that seems to hit the mark pretty well. But, I think it is more play than work. Not sure if that fits your MO.

I can't really say....never owned one or ridden one. Arctic cats are pretty scarce around here. I have heard good things about them on this forum. I would just ride it and make sure it's going to have enough power for you. I know when I got my vinson 500 I thought it would have plenty of power, but not so. Especially after riding sportys. I have to say I am pretty happy with the power of the 800's.

what is your price range? i agree that after having sport quads, you will be disappointed with any utility under 600cc. the kawasaki brute force 750 is very powerful and fast, and the new 700 grizz is also very well-liked. honda's rincon is pretty smooth from the sounds of its owners, so it looks like you got a whole bunch of options. good luck with your choice. dont forget to research, even just going to the manufacturer's websites...

Compared to the quads you have now an Arctic Cat 400 is going to feel like the dog of the century. Seriously, it is going to take several minutes to accelerate to its top speed, and it will be heavy, slow, poor handling, and poorly suspended compared to what you are used to. Definitely take one on a good long test ride before you consider buying it.

If money is a concern I would look at the Brute Force 650. Kawasaki ATVs have good power, and are a good bang for the buck when it comes to value.

If you want really good 4x4 capability, and acceptable power, the Yamaha Grizzlys are a good choice.

If you want horsepower above all else, the Can Am ATVs are the way to go.

seems like a good deal, but looking at it to inspect it, as well as a test drive so you can listen for anything funny sounding is a good idea.
