Default Yamaha or Honda

I dont know witch one to get. The 300ex or the 350 warrior I can get the 300 for $800 its a 1998 mod. and the 350 is $1,200 and its a 1997. What do you think. And Im 6' and weigh 265 just so you will know what the machine will be hauling around.

Used ATV prices go by condition not year. A mint 98 is worth more then a fair condition 2004 to me.

Here is a side by side specs of the two if that helps.1999 Yamaha Warrior ATVs

There 99s but the ex and Warrior never changed much anyways.

The Warroirs 6 speeds tranny sounds like fun though compared to a 5 speed.

I would probably go with the 300ex because they handle so much better...... We owned a Warrior and traded it in in 2006 on a Raptor 350, just because of the handling..... Our Warrior was actually a lot faster because of mods... But my wife liked the handling and ergos of the Raptor so much better the Warrior got dumped.....

The 300ex is a nice handling little machine, and it is only a hair slower than the Warrior. IMO handling and ergonomics are much more important than speed.

I had a 99 warrior and after a while you will realize the suspension sucks. To upgrade the shocks is way too expensive. I tried different things like replacing the rear shock, turning the wheels around to get a wider stance, etc.. and the thing just never felt right.

One more thing. If you could save a bit more and get into the $1800-$2000 range you could get a 400ex. Then you are good to go.

I'd try to find a bargain 400EX. I, personally don't care for the Warrior and think that the 300 will feel small to you.

I agree. A 400ex handles nice and has enough power to keep you happy for as while. Although I will say my 350 warrior had enough to get me through or up anything I wanted to try.
