Test Rides, Grizzly, KIng Quad, Brute Force
#1
New full size utility 4x4 ATV shopping, I took test rides on the Yamaha Grizzly 700 and 550, Suzuki King Quad 750, and the Kawasaki Brute Force 750.
My opinions, The Yamaha Grizzly 700 and the 550 felt the same in size and power, the power steering was only the good part when standing still at idle, I didn't like the heavy vibration and how I had to lean forward to reach the handlebars, and it felt top heavy like it wanted to tip over.
Suzuki King Quad 750, my first reaction is I loved the chrome muffler, it had more power than the Yamaha Grizzly, felt more solid like all the weight was near the ground, no vibration, easy to ride and control.
Kawasaki Brute Force 750, didn't like the vibration, it had more low end power than the Suzuki, but it felt it was geared lower, it just felt loose and cheap, and it was $1000 more than the Grizzly and King Quad.
I bought the Suzuki King Quad 750, it was a new leftover 2008, for $6299, The 09 700 Grizzly w/o ps was $6999, the 09 Grizzly 550 w/o ps was $6299, and the 09 Kawasaki Brute Force was $7299

Thats a good buy. Seems like the kingquad is popular due to giving excellent quality at a great price. I was real close to trading my Foreman for one, but I was just taking too much of a hit on the Foreman to do it.
Its weird that you said the two Grizz's felt like they had the same power. I would think 150cc's would make a difference.
