New ATV break-in question

New ATV break-in question
I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a new ATV but was wondering about break-in. I actually wont be using the machine really until spring though I was considering doing a little plowing with it on our small city driveway.
Would this not be advisable for a new mahcine that hasn't been broken in??
Would I be better just to wait until Spring and then give it some good break-in rides??
Wanted to buy now as appears the deals might be best.
thx,
Sean

Well, canada guy. Break in is a controversial issue believe it or not. Most seem to say break in slowly. Some say break it in as you are going to drive it(no break in at all) and yet, some say drive the pee pee out of it for break in.
If your buying new I'd do whatever the manufacture suggest all though there is a theory that manufactures suggest that beak in method so people don't go tear up a brand new atv and return it under the warranties.
Someone may provide links to reading material on the subject for you. Sorry I couldn't be a better help.
