Default Pricing info??

I figured this forum will give me the most info VS just posting in the Kawi forum. Anyways, I have looked for weeks and finally settled on a Kawasaki ATV for my business. It will primarily plow snow all winter with some trail riding in the summer and hunting in the fall. I had a hell of an offer on an 09 Cat 550 H1 for $5600 out the door but i just didn't feel the Cat was up to the task. Here is the quotes i received. This particular dealer has 1 650 and 4 750's on the floor and really wants to move the 750. How is the price for one and #2 anyone know of a better deal within 300 miles of Kalispell, MT???

09 750 Brute Force i
Msrp $8199
Rebate $800
Total $7399
He Discounted and Will sell for $6950

09 650 Brute Force i
Msrp $7399
Rebate $350 Total $7049

Default How come ATV dealers

don't move off MSRP? I bought a Chevy truck for 35% below MSRP last Christmas (2008). So the dealers want to get FULL price and offer only the rebate? I would think they could come 15%-25% off MSRP and then apply the manufacturer's rebate. The prices you call don't sound good to me.

Don't know where you are but...

2009 Kawasaki Brute Force 750:eBay Motors (item 270508303686 end time Jan-06-10 09:07:01 PST)

Saw that and saw this too:

All buyers are subject to a $250 documentation fee, $32.50 title fee, and applicable taxes. All customers must be present in our store to receive full offer.

Thats $1150 savings for me to drive 3000 miles round trip.......................

Between the 750 and 650 id go with the 750. you get more for less. Ont he other hand, $5,600 for a 550 is pretty good. when this atv came out, they said it had the same power as the arctic cat 650(dont know for sure though). plus, the 550 weighs 692 lbs. thats 40lbs more than the 750 (650 lbs.) so pushing snow is not a problem. it also has a better locker lever IMO. If an atv has LOW gear(and all do just about) you will push snow and pull things you wouldnt think it would as long as you get traction. my bikes, even my old 300 always turned the tires when in low no matter the mud, snow,hills,ect... I think youd be impressed with what the smaller bores can do, but that 750 is POWERFUL. It also depends on which one you find more comfy and fits your style. good luck in your purchase.

The Cat is at a Cat/Kawi dealer so the best thing i could do is ride both. I have read a lot of water injestion issues with the Kawi and that worries me as i will be in a lot of mountain streams and creek bottom hunting literally 20 miles from nowhere. I am going to put a post up for comparison on a Kawi 650 and the cat 550.

Not sure if you are interested in going the Polaris 850XP route. I may be able to help you get a awesome deal on a left over 09' without EPS. Let me know.

I'm not really liking the Polaris engine braking as it doesn't hold all 4 wheels, just the back. The Polaris dealer here is higher than a kite. Quoted me a 2009 550XP for $6660 $1000 bucks more than the Cat for in my opinion a lesser machine. I would be interested in seeing what your guy has to offer though i guess as money talks.

I would also add that, "yes money does talk", but would say that making this kind of investment requires one to be truly happy with the purchase. Even at a great price, if you are not happy with what unit you buy, the price becomes secondary. I know many people that buy a unit becasue they think the price was too good to pass up, yet don't enjoy it becasue it wasn't what they really wanted.

Find the unit that you truly want and is based on your thoughts, feelings, and experience. Some prefer Poalris and some Kawasaki or Yamaha, etc. All make a great product. Once you find that unit, find the best price by using all the resources that are available.

I do belive on the XP's when using the ADC it puts the AWD on under 15mph so they do hold all 4 wheels. Somebody correct me if I'am wrong.
